God's Promises Are Sure

On my evening walk the air turned cooler as the sun dipped into the western sky.  I stopped at the little hazel nut tree to gather the nuts that had fallen to the ground. I searched among the grass and the leaf strewn ground for the tiny brown treasures; while thanking my Heavenly Father for His bountiful gifts for His children.  My thoughts turned to how Adam and Eve walked and talked with God in the cool of the evening.

"And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day"

Genesis 3:8
This was their custom, to walk and talk with God and it should be something that we long to do as well and make it our practice to spend that time with our loving Savior.
When Adam and Eve were in Heaven living in the Garden of Eden the food that they ate was the seeds, nuts, and the fruit of the trees. God gave this to them to eat.
"And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth , and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat."
Genesis 1:29
I wonder.....Did they have pockets in which they could collect these wonderful bountiful treasure?
I must say that Jesus and His wonderful promises are sure. He promises that our needs will always be met and that we will always be taken care of. We need not worry at all. Do you trust your loving Heavenly Father? Do you believe with all your heart that He will provide your needs?
" But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:19
I also love the verses in Matthew 6 about how He will take care of us. He covers every question we may ask Him. We may never be rich here on earth and that is ok. It is Heaven where riches matter. Won't you give Him your heart? You will never be sorry if you trust in the Lord.
"Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more then meat, and the body
than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are ye not much better then they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not neither do they spin:  And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore if God clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek. For your Heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these things. but seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore not thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.  Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
Matthew 6:25-34

Oh precious promises that fill my heart with joy.
